Padre Pio had a tender love for Mary, calling her “Mama” and trusting her as a true mother who always leads us to Jesus. In his suffering, he found strength and hope by uniting it with Christ and turning to Mary for comfort. His example reminds us that in our own struggles, we can look to Mary as a gentle mother who never abandons us, but walks with us and brings us closer to her Son.
