Light Overcomes Darkness

Today’s readings remind us how often God calls His people to turn back to Him. Through the prophet Jeremiah, God warned the people of Jerusalem to repent, but many refused to listen. In the Gospel, Jesus Christ teaches that God’s kingdom is stronger than any power of darkness. When we live in truth, love, and prayer, the light of Christ pushes back the darkness, giving us peace and confidence that His light always wins.
