Grace Changes the Heart

On this Friday in Lent, we hear a powerful reminder from the prophet Ezekiel and from Jesus Christ that God rejoices when sinners repent. Heaven celebrates when we turn back to Him. This homily reflects on the beauty of confession, the joy of mercy, and the grace that makes holiness possible. Jesus calls us beyond simply following rules and into a true interior transformation of the heart. We can’t live on yesterday’s “yes” — each day we must choose Him again, trusting that His grace is free, present, and more than enough to help us begin again.
